Relesoft test and simulation environment is the only off-the-shelf service on the market for full scale simulated ETCS Traffic and large network infrastructure simulation with basically unlimited amount of track side objects (level crossings, point machines, etc.) and trains controlled under Centralized Safety System (CSS) and Traffic Management System (TMS)

Open architecture solution to support system end-to-end testing is tailored for following simulation use cases:

  1. Interlocking vendors or infrastructure managers need a digital environment enabling tests for interlocking systems up to 500 object controllers and 80 simultaneous trains.
  2. Infrastructure managers virtual twin for existing network and possibility to run scenarios against intended geometry changes and system updated.

System components

  1. Hardware
  2. Three computers in 8U rack and necessary network devices and power supply (230V socket)

  3. Simulation controller
  4. Simulation scenario controller and initialisation are used with graphical user interface. All communication is performed over defined API’s enabling external system integration for TCS (traffic control system) or IXL (interlocking).

  5. Virtual object controllers
  6. Level crossing, Point machine, Track detection system, light signal with EULYNX interfaces. Several hundreds can be operated by one computer simultaneously. Physical emulation of object controllers with configuration and external triggers and errors with debug interface.

  7. Virtual train/ETCS on board unit
  8. SUBSET-094 DEBUG interfaces (implemented over internet protocol - IP) and trains defined in operational scenarios. Tens of trains can be operated simultaneously with one computer. Train can work autonomously or commanded by IXL with SUBSET-27/37.

  9. Installation and training
  10. Test engineers master the system and can independently use it for intended purpose. Relesoft will provide support when changes are required.

Report of executed scenarios (with steps and error messages) for documentation purposes.

How to procure the system

System is provided as a licensing model based on annual service costs. Standard system can be delivered within one month.

Proprietary or national interfaces for operations and infrastructure topology models require adaptation period of approximately 3 months from the contract.
